Sunbrella fabrics are treated with a proprietary water and stain repellent finish that is designed to last for several years, but taking care of your fabric can help it last longer and stay brighter. One of the best ways to keep Sunbrella fabrics looking good is to brush off dirt before it becomes embedded in the fabrics and wipe up spills or clean soon after a stain occurs. The quicker you clean spills and stains, the easier they can be to remove.
For easy day-to-day maintenance of your Sunbrella fabric:
- Brush off loose dirt.
- Spray on a cleaning solution of water and mild soap.
- Use a soft bristle brush to clean.
- Allow cleaning solution to soak into the fabric.
- Rinse thoroughly until all soap residue is removed.
- Air dry.
On our 15th anniversary, Randy and Sharon show how their
Sunbrella fabric is holding up from 2004.
In the event that you come across a very specific spill or stain, they have created this chart to clean each of those.
